Geocento Spain is very proud to have been awarded an EU H2020 SME Instrument Phase 1 grant for our EIDOS API proposal.
The grant will allow us to perform a feasibility study to evaluate the technical, commercial and capacity requirements to build a powerful image API alongside our existing EarthImages application.
The API will eventually allow, through various models of subscriptions, access to a wide range of cloud services for finding and ordering earth imagery and value-added services. Value added suppliers will be able to publish their own services and generate income from the use of their algorithms by our API customers.
The need for such an API has been steadily growing over the years with customers from many verticals, such as oil and gas, farming or security.
The phase 1 project will culminate in August 2018 with the delivery of the study report to the European Commission.
If you have any questions on the project or on the API, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 807771
