Maryia Urazaeva joined Geocento as a Director of Sales and Marketing 

COMPANY UPDATE

This will initiate a new phase in the company’s development and growth. Maryia has been an advisor and latterly consultant for Geocento since 2019, helping the company with its strategy for growth. We were delighted to be able to persuade her to join us in an executive role, starting last month.

Maryia’s background both in terms of working with image suppliers (understanding their perspectives and roles in the industry), along with her record of accomplishment in business development gives us two very important areas of experience on which to build our own capabilities and drive sales. Importantly for us, Maryia played a key role in developing the PanGeo Alliance, the first alliance of the commercial EO satellite operators, led by Deimos Imaging (now GeoSat). This in some ways acts as a precursor to our new service EarthImages-on-Demand, and her insights in relation to this have been very important.

Maryia has been based in different global locations and coordinated teams across various countries including UK, Japan, Spain, Russia, Turkey and Belarus. She has picked up multi-cultural experience and a range of languages along the way. She has just moved to Oxford and joined the team in our new office at Harwell Campus.
