TANDEM-X SATELLITE IMAGERY

TanDEM-X (TerraSAR-X add-on for Digital Elevation Measurement), launched on June 21, 2010, has a mission objective of generating a high quality Global Digital Elevation Model, also known as WorldDEM. Using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), TanDEM-X has been used to determine the 12x12m surface elevation of the earth’s surface to a vertical accuracy of less than 2m.
